Growing together through
play and connection
Informal group sessions of caregivers and children, moderated by a Robbeburg community volunteer. Across 3 different types of Playgroups, kids can enjoy free play, crafts, an interactive reading, a sing-along, or an educational film. Parents can get involved, have some coffee or tea, relax and chat, or get some work done.
Types of Playgroups
All Playgroups are informal group sessions moderated by a Robbeburg community volunteer and usually involves open playtime, a daily craft activity, and sharing a snack. (All caregivers are encouraged to bring a snack to share.) Coffee, tea and cookies will also be served for the caregivers. Beyond this, we offer 4 different types of Playgroups to provide a variety of experiences for families across the week.
Morning Playgroup
Our original Playgroup sessions, the heart of the Robbeburg community! In addition to open playtime, a daily craft activity, and snack sharing, you can usually expect an interactive reading and/or a sing-along.
On Wednesdays we have a special 🎶 Music Morning led by Kacy, where little ones explore music through singing, playing instruments, and movement.

Science Club
For curious minds aged 4–8, Science Club is a special type of playgroup that sparks wonder through fun, hands-on experiments and creative discovery. Each 90-minute session begins with a science-themed activity—like making baking soda volcanoes, magic milk, or homemade slime—followed by time for free play and crafts. Kids explore basic science concepts through play and observation while building confidence, curiosity, and creativity in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Work n' Play
For caregivers needing to get work done while kids play in our space, with supervision from a Robbeburg moderator. Sessions are limited to four families to manage noise, and parents have access to free Wi-fi, comfortable seating, and coffee, tea, and cookies to support productivity. Whether it's completing business work or managing administrative tasks, caregivers can be productive while kids play.

Art Club
A creative playgroup designed for kids ages 3–8 to explore art, self-expression, and imagination. Each Wednesday, kids dive into a sensory, nature-inspired craft project led by Plav from House of Craftivities, followed by free play. Whether it’s painting, crafting, or experimenting with nature-based art, kids get hands-on with different materials, textures, and themes—encouraging creativity, curiosity, and confidence.
IMPORTANT:

We CANNOT accept walk-ins for Art Club. The art projects are prepared based on the number of registrations. Please book your spot BEFORE 1:00pm on the day of the session.

Caregivers are asked to attend the session with their child. We have WiFi, and caregivers can work online during the playgroup.

The first 45 minutes of the playgroup is dedicated to the art project and the ball pit will be unavailable.

Our Space
We have a cozy yet stimulating environment designed for children aged six and under. It features a bouncy ball pit, slide, playhouse, toy kitchen, train table, costume corner, and various other toys, books, and art supplies to inspire creativity and play. We have an area for babies with sensory toys, as well as bouncers and a crib. Caregivers can relax on our cozy couches and enjoy our kitchen.
As a non-profit, all proceeds from our programs, services, and events go towards improving our space! Since we are making continual changes to meet the needs of the community, note that the photos we show may not always be up to date.

As a completely volunteer-run non-profit, all funds we receive from bookings go directly towards improving Robbeburg's space and services, so that we can continue providing support to the families and children of the community!
