Terms and Conditions

These General Terms & Conditions apply to all visitors, participants, renters, attendees, and users of Robbeburg’s space, activities, services, and events, including but not limited to playgroups, parties, playdates, workshops, special events, and professional or private rentals.

By visiting Robbeburg, participating in an activity, or making a booking, individuals agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and all referenced policies.

1. Scope & applicable policies

​

These Terms & Conditions operate alongside the following documents, which together form Robbeburg’s governance and safety framework:

 

Where applicable, service-specific rules, instructions, or capacity limits will be communicated via the relevant webpage, booking confirmation, or instructional email.

2. Access, supervision, and responsibility

​

Robbeburg is primarily a space for babies, young children, and their caregivers.

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

  • Adults remain fully responsible for the behavior, safety, and supervision of children in their care.

  • For services without an on-site Robbeburg volunteer (including many Parties, Playdates, and professional rentals), the renter or booking holder assumes responsibility for appropriate use of the space during their booked time.

 

Robbeburg reserves the right to deny access or end participation where safety, wellbeing, or these Terms & Conditions are not respected.

3. Capacity & use of the space

​

  • Maximum capacity, duration, and permitted use vary by service and are communicated at the time of booking.

  • The space may only be used for the purpose agreed upon at booking.

  • Subletting, resale, or unauthorized commercial use is not permitted unless explicitly agreed in writing.

 

Professional, commercial, or promotional use of the space (including filming, teaching, ticketed events, or business rentals) requires prior approval from Robbeburg.

4. Health, safety, and care of the environment

​

To ensure a safe and welcoming environment:

  • Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited.

  • Pets and animals are not permitted.

  • Nuts and toothpicks are not permitted.

  • Latex balloons are not permitted (only foil balloons).

  • All other safety-related rules regarding food, equipment, decorations, and use of facilities must be followed as communicated per service.

  • Robbeburg equipment, toys, books, and materials remain on the premises and must be used with care.

 

Detailed operational instructions (including use of equipment, heating, lighting, cleaning, and securing the space) can be found in the Party & Playdate Rental Terms and are also provided separately where relevant and form part of the booking agreement.

5. Photography, videography, and privacy

​

Photography and video recording may occur at Robbeburg for personal or promotional purposes, subject to Robbeburg’s Privacy Policy, Code of Conduct, and Confidentiality Policy.

  • Personal photography by visitors is permitted for private use, provided the privacy of others is respected.

  • Photographing or recording children who are not one’s own requires explicit permission from the child’s parent or caregiver.

  • Use of images or videos on Robbeburg’s official channels follows consent-based practices and may involve blurring or non-identifiable imagery.

 

Robbeburg may restrict or prohibit photography or recording where privacy, safety, or consent cannot be adequately ensured.

6. Cleaning, damage, and care of the premises

​

Visitors and renters are expected to treat the space with care and leave it in a reasonable and tidy condition.

  • Any damage, excessive mess, or misuse of the premises may result in cleaning costs, repair charges, or deductions from a security deposit where applicable.

  • Renters are responsible for the actions of their guests and attendees.

 

Specific cleaning and closing requirements are communicated separately for applicable services.

7. Loss, damage, and liability

​

  • Robbeburg is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

  • Participation in activities and use of the premises is at one’s own risk.

  • Robbeburg is not liable for injury except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct as defined under Dutch law.

 

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law.

8. Compliance, enforcement, and termination

 

Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions or referenced policies may result in:

  • Removal from the premises

  • Suspension or termination of participation or membership

  • Cancellation of bookings without refund, where appropriate

  • Further measures in accordance with the Complaint Procedure or Conflict Protocols

9. Amendments

​

Robbeburg reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on the Robbeburg website.
