New Leader and Volunteer Opportunities

💛 Playgroup Leader - Tuesdays and Thursdays approx 9:45 am - 12:15 pm, starting September 2025

Our playgroup leaders arrive 15 minutes prior to session start to open the playgroup. They make tea and coffee and set up the tables and chairs. Some playgroup leaders also set up a small activity for the day such as a craft or water table. The playgroup leaders cut up and serve fruit halfway through the playgroup. Ten minutes prior to closing the playgroup, the leaders help put toys back in designated areas and do a general clean-up of the playspace. We ask that playgroup leaders come once a week and be able to commit for six months or more. Playgroup leaders get free playgroup for their child(ren) on the day of service and free playgroup when there is room in other sessions, a free private playdate once per quarter and 50% off a party after six months of service. 

💚Work N' Play Leader - Thursday approx 3:15 pm - 5:45 pm, starting September 2025

Our Work N' Play is a growing program to give a small group of parents time to connect to the internet while their kids play in a safe play area. The group is limited to four families to keep a quieter tone and the recommended age group is 3 years and older or the ability to play independently. The Work N' Play Leader will arrive 15 minutes early to setup and clean-up and tidy towards the end of the session. We ask that Work N' Play leaders come once a week and be able to commit for six months or more. Work N' Play leaders get free playgroup for their child(ren) on the day of service and free playgroup when there is room in other sessions, a free private playdate once per quarter and 50% off a party after six months of service. 

💜Cinema Playgroup Leader

Do you have an interest in educational cinema for children? We are looking for a volunteer interested in leading our afternoon cinema playgroup session. The playgroup would be 20-40 minutes of a language or educational film and then playgroup for the rest of the session. We are looking to open this up to children six years old and younger. Currently all afternoons except Tuesday are open for Cinema playgroup sessions. Playgroup leaders get free playgroup for their child(ren) on the day of service and free playgroup when there is room in other sessions, a free private playdate once per quarter and 50% off a party after six months of service. 

🧡Grant Writer

Robbeburg is a growing community that connects families to provide a safe and caring space for play? Do you have grant writing experience and availability to help Robbeburg collate, write and apply for applicable grants?  We have worked on a small budget to continue to maintain and improve our playspace and would love more funding to improve our space! Our Grant Writer Volunteer gets free private playdates once every two months or more and 50% off events with the exception of movie night.
