What to expect?

Playgroup

The space is warm and welcoming offering plenty of fun for children. The venue is specifically designed for children aged six and under, featuring a ball pit, slide, playhouse, and a wide selection of toys, books, and art supplies for crafts.

For babies

Additionally, there are bouncers and a cot for babies.

For Parents

Complementary coffee and tea are provided for parents or caretakers. Playgroups are an informal and relaxed environment where kids can play with each other and parents/caretakers can mingle and get to know others in the community.

When?

Bookings are available on Wednesdays from 15:00 to 17:00.

Robbeburg kindly asks the following of parents/caretakers attending playgroups:

Check in with the playgroup host upon entering.
Follow the terms and conditions applicable to the playgroup. This includes taking off shoes before entering, not bringing food into the play areas, and refraining from bringing any food that contains nuts, even for personal consumption by your children. Robbeburg has a strict no-nuts policy.
Robbeburg is run entirely by its members on a voluntary basis, this includes the playgroup host(s). Help put toys away, and clean up after yourself and your kid(s) before leaving.

Cancelation Policy

Playgroup cancellations are nonrefundable and must be made by 8:00 am on the same day. You can attend another session within two weeks of the original booking if you cancel before 8:00 am. Late cancellation for monthly members will result in a one-day reduction of the pass, while flex members will lose a session. Follow the policy to avoid losing classes.

What do the indoor facilities look like?

Check our gallery photos on this page to have a look! Please contact us if you wish to visit the venue beforehand. This is possible on weekdays between 10am-12pm. Our venue has a large indoor play area to stimulate learning by play. The play area has a ball pit, a fun slide, a wooden playhouse, role play areas and a huge variety of toys and books. For your littlest ones, we have baby bouncers. Alongside these play areas are comfy seating areas for the adults and a small kitchen area.
How much does it cost to rent Robbeburg?

When our playgroup sessions are not running, you can rent the venue for a number of purposes. Private Use: Playdates - You can rent the space for two hours any day of the week at a cost of 20 euro. This includes a maximum of 3 households including any children belonging to those households. Private Use: Parties - Parties have a maximum of 50 people including children. With our party bookings, you can rent the space for 4 hours. These are available any day of the week, but for parties during the week, please get in touch with us to check availability. Party hires cost 200 euro plus a 75 euro deposit. 275 euro will be taken at the time of booking, with the 75 euro deposit refunded after your party providing that the hiring agreement has been fulfilled. Business use - Robbeburg can be rented for business purposes to host classes, events, workshops, conferences, etc. from 30 euro per hour.
Can I extend the hours of my booking?

Parties run during specified time slots (Saturday and Sunday 9.30 to 13.30 and 14:00 to 18:00, and Monday to Friday from 12.30 onward for the space of 4 hours). This time includes set up and cleaning. If you need more time you can choose to book two adjacent slots. It is also possible to extend the hours of booking before the morning party slot begins or after the afternoon party slot ends. This costs 50 euro per extra hour. How many adults and children are allowed inside Robbeburg?

For playgroups: The maximum number of allowed (including volunteer leaders) is 12 adults and their own children. For parties, business rentals, and other events: There can be a maximum of 50 people including both adults and children/babies. For playdates: There can be a maximum of 3 households, with up to 6 total adults and their own children who all belong to those 3 households. For work n play: There can be a maximum of 5 adults (including the volunteer leader) and their own children.
What do the outdoor facilities look like?

Our outdoor play area is sometimes open during playgroups depending on availability, interest, and the weather. It is often used during our events. It has a large sandbox, swings, a slide and play house area. It also has chalk, balls, and bicycles and tricycles for children. Adults can relax on 2 large benches and a wide variety of chairs. Due to shared use of this area with other organizations it is not available for parties or playdates use.
Does Robbeburg have a kitchen and kitchen supplies?

There is a small kitchen with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee and tea appliances. We also have plates, cups, and cutlery. Please note that we do not provide coffee or tea supplies and you should bring your own. One coffee machine works with regular filter paper, and we also have a traditional nespresso coffee machine. Should you wish to use this area, please make sure the kitchen is left clean and tidy before you leave, and disconnect appliances to minimise risk. There is a long counter and tables with kids chairs in case you wish to use them for a party cake or other food.
Does Robbeburg have toilet facilities?

Yes, there are two toilets for small children and one toilet for adults.
Does Robbeburg have baby changing facilities?

Yes, there is a dedicated area for changing babies. Please place any dirty nappies in a plastic bag and remove the bag with the dirty nappies before you leave the premises.
Is there a parking space in the area?

Cars can be parked in the street directly in front of Robbeburg or on any adjacent street. Street parking costs 5.18 euro per hour Monday to Saturday. Sundays are free of charge.
Does Robbeburg have a music system?

We have a projector, screen, and Bluetooth speaker system. These can be used to cast from your phone or other electronic device. Robbeburg also has a Disney+ subscription that you can use during your booking. The Bluetooth speaker system can also be used exclusively for music.
Can I extend the hours of my birthday party?

You can rent the venue for the specified time slots (Saturday and Sunday 9.30 to 13.30 and 14:00 to 18:00, and weekday afternoons on request). Time includes set up and cleaning. You can choose to book one slot, or two adjacent slots depending on the amount of time you would like to make use of the space for. It might be possible to extend the hours of booking from 18:00 to 20:00, which cost 50 euro extra per hour. Contact us for arrangements: info@robbeburg.nl.
Can I cancel my booking?

Cancellation must be made 48 hours before the start of the booking. Cancellations are non refundable and will be replaced with a voucher to be used within 3 months. I have booked Robbeburg for a party or a play date. How do I get the keys? You will receive instructions on how to access the venue 24 hours before your booking starts. If you have booked with less than 24 hours you should receive these instructions immediately. If you do not receive these instructions and it is less than 24 hours before your booking begins, send us an email: info@robbeburg.nl.
I have booked Robbeburg for a party or a play date, how do I get the keys?

You will receive instructions how to access 24 hours before your booking starts. If you have booked with less than 24hours, send us an email: info@robbeburg.nl.
I did not get the instructions how to access Robbeburg.

Please check the email address with which you made your booking (including the spam folder) and make sure that you didn't receive an email from Robbeburg International Playgroup. If you did not, email us: info@robbeburg.nl.
Can I change my reservation to a different day?

It is possible to change your reservation for a different date, provided you inform us at least 48 hours in advance of the original booking time. Barring extraordinary circumstances, rescheduling is only possible once. Please contact us at info@robbeburg.nl.
When will I receive my deposit?

Provided you have met the terms and conditions, you will receive your deposit back within 15 days after your party.
Can I arrive earlier to decorate the place?

No. The time of your reservation includes set up, decorating, and cleaning. You MUST arrive and leave on time. It is possible to extend the hours of booking from 18:00 to 20:00, or to book extra time before the 9:30 am party slot. This costs 50 euro per hour. What do I do if there is any breakage when I arrive at Robbeburg or if I find some irregularities?

Please report breakages or any other issues related to the venue as soon as possible via email: info@robbeburg.nl.
Can I use decorations for my party?

Yes, of course, almost all decorations are allowed provided they are removed at the end of your party. However, latex balloons are prohibited as they are a choking hazard. Foil balloons are allowed. If you decorate the walls, please use washi tape instead of cello tape which could cause damage or leave permanent marks.
Can I bring my own food?

Yes, of course. With the sole exception of nuts all food is allowed. However, food and drinks are only allowed in the first room where the tables and kitchen area are located. For safety please note that cocktail/toothpicks are not allowed inside the facility.
Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not allowed inside the Robbeburg facility or the inside garden.
Do I need to take my shoes off?

Yes. Little babies crawl in our space, so no shoes can be worn inside Robbeburg. We strive to have shoe covers available by the entrance to the playroom, but in the event that none are available you must remove your shoes.
Can I make use of the cutlery at Robbeburg?

Yes, of course. We have cups, plates, forks, etc that you are welcome to use. Please make sure that all used cutlery is washed with the cleaning supplies that we provide for you.
Are pets allowed?

No. Pets are not allowed inside Robbeburg.
It is very important that you leave on time.

The time of your reservation includes set up and clean up. You must arrive and leave on time, therefore you should be leaving the premises no later than 13.30 if you booked a morning slot or not later than 18.00 if you booked the afternoon slot. Additional time will be charged at 50 euro per hour. Should you wish for more time to set up or clean up, please contact us: info@robbeburg.nl.
Cleaning

Please disinfect the surfaces used or touched with the cleaning supplies that Robbeburg offers. Please vacuum the place with the vacuum cleaner that is located inside the cupboard in the last room.
Tidy Up

Please put everything away and tidy up the play space area.
Garbage/Rubbish

Please remove your own food, drinks, decorations and rubbish. Remove the garbage from the garbage bin in the kitchen and place a new garbage bag. Garbage bags can be found in the bottom of the garbage bin. Kindly take the garbage with you and place it in the bins in the street.
Electric

Please switch off all electric appliances.
Lights

Please switch off the lights.
Secure the facilities.

Close the play area door behind you. Return the key and place it carefully inside the lockbox. Close the lockbox, spin up the numbers and slide the black panel down. Close the white corridor door behind you. Press the lock button on the handle until a red light appears. Close the main green outside door behind you and make sure it is shut firmly . It is very important that you do NOT lock this door with the key that you have used for opening the green outside door.

Report any breakage, irregularities or problems as soon as possible via email: info@robbeburg.nl.
